She not only won the women's 42km race at the 2026 Y Ty Golden Season trail running event held on September 6, but also finished second overall – ahead of almost all male runners, with only one man finishing before her. Yet the story of that afternoon did not stop at the medal. It also became a lesson about how society views women in sport: when an achievement cannot be disputed, some social media users still try to pull the runner down by focusing on her body. Van Trang responded firmly and honestly.
